MCN Inclusion and Engagement Coordinator
 
 
 
The mission of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) is to inform, promote, connect and strengthen individual nonprofit organizations and the nonprofit sector. MCN is a membership organization that builds the leadership and management capacity of nonprofits across the state and in skills of nonprofit management and governance, program development, evaluation, financial management, and fundraising, allowing these organizations to remain sustainable, reliable, and effective agents of change in their community.

Member Duties : The I&E VISTA will play a critical role in developing and implementing a racial and equity framework across MCNs programs, cultivating a community of experts with shared language and community practices, and developing and supporting MCNs inclusion and engagement committees. This work will be shared with MCNs members to ensure MCN engaging in anti-racist work to ensure the sector can bring its best foot forward in eliminating poverty and ending disparities for strong, thriving communities. This work will include the following objectives: • Solidify Inclusion and Engagement language and communication methods • Refine and implement a racial equity framework internally throughout MCN departments • Develop and strengthen MCN’s Inclusion and Engagement committee • Strengthen MCN’s capacity for research on trends relevant to culturally-specific nonprofit organizations
