Community Engagement Coordinator- TerraCorps

TerraCorps is looking for 11 Community Engagement Coordinators to serve in 11-month AmeriCorps positions with community-based nonprofits across Massachusetts. These 1,700 hour AmeriCorps positions receive a living allowance ($15,200), education award ($6,195), and additional AmeriCorps benefits. The 2020-21 program will run from 8/31/2020-7/30/2021. Community Engagement Coordinators (CEC) build the long-term capacity of their Service Site by developing culturally inclusive systems, programming, partnerships, and events. By collaborating with community groups, CECs demonstrate how the sustainable use and conservation of land can help address community needs related to education, public health, economic development, neighborhood revitalization, homelessness, poverty, hunger, and cultural decline. By helping a broader cross-section of people experience the benefits of land, CECs build connections between the environment and people that increase public support for land access, revitalization, and conservation initiatives. Through engaging diverse peoples and collaborating with community partners, CECs build bridges that reinforce the connection between land and a sustainable social, economic, and environmental future for all people.
