SEWA-Aifw Serves the underserved vulnerable populations of South Asians in a culturally specific way. Sewa’s programs are focused on educating South Asians about wellness - wellness of the body and mind, and wellness within family and community. Programs create access to professionals and volunteers who are culturally competent, in most instances to professionals who speak the language of the client; and, for the clients create access to wellness, health care and domestic violence prevention, education and intervention in a culturally relevant manner. The VISTA project will advance SEWA’s anti-poverty efforts by improving volunteer management capabilities through the creation of a comprehensive volunteer management and reporting system.
