PHENND Fellows - District 1199c Training Fund
PHENND (The Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development) is a 30-year-old consortium of over 25 colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia region. The consortium actively seeks to revitalize local communities and promote civic responsibility through service learning among the region's higher education institutions. In 2017 PHENND adopted the Philly Fellows and have continued to foster young non-profit leaders who seek to expand the infrastructure for community partnership development across Philadelphia. The Non-Profit Tract actively builds capacity through a variety of activities in local organizations. If you want to help build sustainable solutions in Philadelphia, apply below. The District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund is the non-profit sister institution of the Philadelphia Hospital & Health Care Workers Union, offering training courses for students of all ages and diverse backgrounds. The Training Fund’s mission is to: (1) provide access to career pathways in healthcare and human services for incumbent workers and job seekers through education, training and work-based learning; (2) build the capacity of the Delaware Valley's healthcare industry to create a highly-skilled workforce through on-the-job training opportunities and the development of an education pipeline that aligns with career ladder steps.

Member Duties : The Fellow will use the Training Fund’s case management database to inform data-driven decisions about the services, supports and programming the Fund makes available to thousands of students each year. They will help build into this and other systems evaluative processes and tools to help students make enrollment decisions that position them for success in education, training and the labor market. The Fellow will work with staff and faculty to implement processes that use data to ensure students are connected to the programs and services that will best position them for success in their career pathway. The Fellow will support the data team in analyzing and interpreting agency and program outcomes to make recommendations for improvement, and use data to help tell the story of the Fund’s impact on increasing economic mobility and reducing poverty in Philadelphia.
