Charleston Area Service Collaborative

VISTA members with the Charleston Area Service Collaborative (CASC) serve with a peer group of 25 VISTAs placed at various organizations throughout the Charleston area. Each VISTA member will be placed with a single organization for the duration of their service year. Our projects each have a specific focus, examples being helping individuals overcome homelessness, mentoring children and youth, providing services to pregnant teens, and building financial literacy skills. Visit https://sites.google.com/view/cascvista/home for more information on our projects. The vision of the project is to cultivate, strengthen, and support programs benefitting low-income citizens by building the capacity of sites to carry out and sustain their work. VISTA service highlights sustainability by working to build, continue, or improve projects that will exist beyond a single VISTA term.
