ShareCorps - CoCDF - Family Engagement Specialist

For more than twenty years the Community of Caring Development Foundation (CoCDF) has continued its commitment to investing in the lives of individuals and families in the Linden Community guided by our mission to “Build a Connected Community.” Through its successful public/private partnerships model, CoCDF has provided access to affordable housing for more than 1,000 families, served over 300,000 meals, secured more than $300,000 in community grants and presented more than $70,000 in academic scholarships. As a faith-based non-profit entity we are uniquely positioned at the marketplace intersection of sacred (vertical) and secular (horizontal) needs. For over 10 years we have worked to address food insecurity through our Bread of Life Food Pantry, which has provided over 300,000 meals; and in October this year (2022) took over the operation of the Linden Fresh Market, located in South Linden. Since assuming operations, we have served an average of 135 families per day and have distributed over 300,000 pounds of food provided by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Entering 2023, we build on what has been established by launching Leadership Linden, focusing on equipping the next generation of community leaders and the Linden100, a unique wealth building employment initiative that will give employees an ownership stake in the company where they work.
