Mayor Tim Keller has made a commitment to double the amount of community volunteers to solve some of our city’s most intractable poverty-related problems. Help grow and streamline the One ABQ Volunteers Program! One ABQ Volunteers is about inspiring everyone in the community to come together in the spirit of service. “We want to turn government inside out so every person has a role to play in moving our city forward. When we work together as one city, it makes a difference in our community" Mayor Tim Keller. We are currently seeking candidates that are enthusiastic, organized, and have a passion for community interaction. One ABQ VISTA members will serve alongside senior level city staff to help create a best in class, city wide volunteer program. Scale up the One ABQ Volunteers program by helping to stream line processes, develop recruitment and recognition strategies, and collect and analyze data. City Hall is a great place to learn new skills and grow your professional network!

Member Duties : The VISTA member will: 1) recruit candidates for volunteer service with the City, 2) develop partnerships with community-based organizations, 3) establish relationships with educational institutions, 4) design and update a database of volunteers and volunteer opportunities, 5) work with City departments to ensure alignment with the Mayor’s strategic priorities, 6) provide outreach and marketing materials to promote One ABQ Volunteers, 7) Present to stakeholder groups when needed.
