NCNMEDD_Non-Metro Area Agency on Aging

This project will finalize and report on updates to nutrition services to low income seniors throughout New Mexico. In 2018, New Mexico had the highest level of food insecure seniors in the country at 11.9%. Over the past three years, the NonMetro AAA VISTA members have been working on learning programs for local growing, food distribution, and measurement tools for senior providers to use to fight senior malnutrition. The fourth year of this VISTA project will compile a report of results on the benefits of new tools and finalize the learning curricula for the senior center local growing project.
