2022 Boys & Girls Clubs of Flint Resource Development VISTA
 
 
 
The Resource Development VISTA will work directly with the development team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint to support efforts in that area. The organization serves youth ages 7 to 17 and focuses on academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Specifically, this position will support the development team in resource development activities, which maintain the capacity of the organization. This service member will also gain experience in grant writing and reporting, donor relations, and marketing, in addition to interacting with members of the Board of Directors as it relates to service activities. Another component of the program involves the planning and development of various special events and fundraisers for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint.

Member Duties : The Resource Development VISTA member will serve to identify new grant funding that the organization is eligible to apply for, in addition to putting together grant proposals, editing and assisting with the report components of awarded grant funding. The VISTA member will also work with the CEO, Director of Finance and Donor Relations, and Director of Grants and Public Relations to increase engagement and interactions with donors and community members. Additionally, this position involves donor database management and learning about the process for recognizing financial supporters of the organization. The Resource Development VISTA will also serve to support the various special events and fundraisers that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint holds throughout the year.
