Promote economic justice with CAC AmeriCorps! We are currently recruiting up to 32 individuals for our 2022-2023 VISTA Corps based in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, and the surrounding area. CAC AmeriCorps VISTA has partnered with 20+ organizations that have programs focused on eliminating poverty. Through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, community engagement, outreach efforts, and overall organizational support, each CAC AmeriCorps member receives a unique view of how these innovative nonprofits provide aid for those experiencing economic stress. As a CAC AmeriCorps VISTA member, you will assist with program development, develop critical thinking skills, and build meaningful connections in the Knoxville area. Member Duties : As a CAC AmeriCorps’s VISTA, you will have the opportunity to leverage skills in communication, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, event planning, and social media to build capacity for our partner sites. Opportunities include grant writing, developing volunteer management systems, curriculum development, networking, organizing social media campaigns and press releases, and planning fundraising events. Our partner sites fight for economic justice through access to healthy foods, community organizing, K-12 education, access to health care, access to transportation, and fighting the opioid epidemic.
