| Member Duties : Members will be serving in Southern Illinois K-8 schools as tutors and mentors. They will tutor either one on one or in small groups of 5-8 students. Members will increase literacy skills of emergent learners and English language learners. Members will also serve to increase the rate of homework completion and submission, and the quality of student work. Members will help to reduce the absenteeism rate and enhance student self-esteem by being a consistent and positive presence in the school. Members will also promote a positive perception of education.
