Dare to Care Program Enhancement VISTA

As our community food needs continue to change and evolve, so must the services provided by Dare to Care Food Bank. To meet these food needs, programs have been put in place to target specific populations that are under-served. The Prescriptive Pantry Program was established in 2016, providing healthy food options to medical providers to distribute to patients experiencing food insecurity. The Mobile Market is a partnership that started with Kroger in 2019 and is a one-aisle grocery store on wheels that can bring food to the door of community members living in areas where fresh foods are difficult to access. Both programs have seen success but are at a point where they need to have a dedicated Vista member research and adopt best practices, assess the day-to-day tasks for efficiency, and align with community and organizational needs. Join Dare to Care Food Bank as we work together with our community to ensure that everyone has adequate access to healthy foods.
