| Member Duties : The PeoriaCorps Cohort will be responsible for attending classroom training and participate in an outdoo work experience within the City of Peoria. Classroom training will revolve around Roots of Success, an environmental literacy curriculum that includes employability skill training. Classroom training will also involve instruction from the National Green Infrastructure Certificate Program which results in an industry recognized credential. Corps members will participate in weekly leadership development workshops, attend career exploration site visits, and complete job shadowing activities. Fieldwork will focus on surface level maintenance of the City’s green infrastructure installations and other public green spaces. The PeoriaCorps members will be trained in proper maintenance techniques and protocols.
