This VISTA Member will focus on fueling the technology economy in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. Our (your) goal will be to evaluate and strengthen Tech and STEAM access, education, employment, and enterprise development in our region to support community resiliency, especially for under-served and underrepresented community members. VISTA members will support Tech and STEAM research, evaluation, geo-mapping, data management, and regional planning; expand Tech and STEAM education, training, work-based learning and internship opportunities including volunteer and mentor engagement; increase Tech and STEAM community outreach and awareness; and Tech and strengthen STEAM funding and partnership development.

Member Duties : You will work directly with community leaders and community members of all ages to strengthen Tech training, special programs, and events, and support outreach, marketing, PR, and data management, plus community awareness, and engagement. VISTAs will meet innovators and entrepreneurs, as well as students, educators, and civic leaders to participate in our local Tech Task Force development and mobilization, as well as city and region-wide Tech events and training programs including the completion of a promotional Hour of Code video, Ready to Grow workshops, and much more. VISTAs will also work directly with Tech business innovators and local students to grow our now Tech AIM Apprentice, Intern, and Mentor program. VISTAs will also assist with strategic planning, resource development, digital media and marketing, and community outreach and engagement.
