Trevecca Urban Farm VISTA

Trevecca Nazarene University’s VISTA goal is to mobilize higher education and community resources to help alleviate poverty by addressing hunger and educational needs in in one of Nashville’s poorest neighborhood, the 37210 zip code and, in the process, further develop and strengthen a growing network of campus and community partnerships. Trevecca has been located in the heart of the 37210 zip code and is committed to strengthening this community and minimizing the suffering caused by extreme poverty. Members may anticipate inspiring and capturing the synergy in the neighborhoods by linking the University, students, residents, and local businesses to reduce poverty. Trevecca Urban Farm will combine environmental interests, healthy lifestyles, and leadership skills to promote youth development.
