Arizona Governor's Office - Trauma Informed VISTA

Research has shown a link between individuals who experience Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and as a result, suffer negative health and social problems across the lifespan. Studies have shown a significant correlation between ACE scores and home environment, specifically higher scores were found in children who live in poverty. GOYFF is leading the Governor’s effort for state agencies to become trauma-informed in an effort to prevent and help mitigate the impact of ACES. This position will grow the capacity of Arizona’s child and family serving systems to become trauma-informed, and develop processes and procedures to monitor the state’s progress in this area. The GOYFF is currently searching for a VISTA member to support this Trauma Informed work through the development and implementation of metrics, protocols and procedures for documenting and reporting on trauma-informed initiatives & stakeholders. Additionally, the VISTA will develop recommendations to increase knowledge of, and accessibility of resources. The ideal candidate will be someone who is open to learn and develop grant oversight knowledge. The position will require flexibility and team work. The candidate should possess knowledge of trauma informed care and the Adverse Childhood Experiences. The candidate should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position requires someone who excels at working with, facilitating and presenting to groups of all types and sizes. Time management and good organizational skills are a must. First review of applications will take place at the end of March with the selection to occur in the first part of April. If you are interest, please email your resume to bshogren@az.gov.
