Summer Associate-CAPC Washington/Morgan Co.- Summer Meals
 
 
 
Washington-Morgan Community Action's mission is to help low income individuals and families achieve growth and success. WMCAP is a non-profit community-based organization that serves Washington and Morgan Counties in Ohio. WMCAP currently provides over 50 quality services ranging from Head Start, employment services, public transportation, housing and the senior nutrition program.

Member Duties : The Summer VISTA Associate will assist the Director of Senior and Community Services coordinate the Summer Feeding Program in Washington/Morgan County. The geographic area includes New Matamoras, Beverly, Lower Salem, Lowell and Vincent in Washington County and McConnelsville and Chesterhill in Morgan County. The Summer Associate will be assigned to one of the 11 Summer Feeding sites. Duties will include: • Conducting outreach in the assigned area to find children to attend the site • Ensure children make a reservation for lunch • Coordinate to ensure proper number of meals are available to children at the site • Set up, serve and clean up meals for children • Complete required paperwork • Create and implement fun interactive programming for children at the site • Work with local farm markets to obtain fresh fruits and vegetables for children at the site • Provide information to increase awareness of programs offered through Washington-Morgan Community Action
