ShareCorps -Camp Chabad- Summer Activities Coordinator
 
 
 
Camp Chabad is a summer day camp program that attracts children from the community and surrounding areas. Many are from low income homes that look forward to coming to our program each day. We provide organized activities that promote honesty and good behaviors. We have a Summer Food Service Program to feed the children lunch and a healthy snack every day. We provide nutritional education, take the children on field trips to demonstrate healthy food choices. Through exercise and sports we practice fitness. Swimming is provided 4 days a week with instruction. There is a learning and mentoring program. We will encourage our VISTA Member to become familiar with all so that they may take part in and improve these activities. We provide a weekly field trip to area attractions and museums. The camp hours are Monday thru Friday. 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

Member Duties : The VISTA Summer Associate will assist the Director in organizing and implementing the summer camp program. This will include: assisting in the design and planning of daily activities; meal service preparation, service, and clean up; planning and coordinating weekly field trips; outreach and education to the community to encourage more participation; tracking of data and paperwork for SFSP program; promoting education and strong morals among the children.
