24-25 NOAA Enviro. Education & Stewardship Specialist

This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary was designated by NOAA in 1994. It is one of the nation's most treasured ocean areas and home to many marine mammals, seabirds, fish, and invertebrate communities. The area is culturally significant and has supported humans since time immemorial. We aim to protect the Olympic Coast’s natural and cultural resources through responsible stewardship. We use research to drive preservation and grow understanding through outreach and education. The member will conduct public outreach and education and lead volunteer stewardship activities. We expect to begin interviews on a rolling basis in April. Monthly stipend amount: $2,995.
