Minneapolis Promise Zone-Resource Development Associate
 
 
 
President Obama created the Promise Zone initiative to address the challenges of deep and persistent poverty. The Minneapolis Promise Zone is an overarching Economic Development strategy, implemented through the lens of racial equity. The goal is to build capacity for the City and its partners to transform distressed communities in North Minneapolis by improving community health & safety; increasing employment; improving educational outcomes; and increasing access to safe, affordable housing.

Member Duties : The Resource Development Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing of resources for internal Promise Zone. As well as development of resources for externally. Primarily, the job will revolve around the management of identification and follow up on federal grant opportunities for stakeholders. The Resource Development Associate will work with a committee of community stakeholders and leaders to create and update a strategic plan to advance the goal of increasing community health and public safety.
