| Member Duties : Americorps VISTA Summer Associates members will serve with the Franklinton Gardens Farm Manager on all projects related to urban farming and neighborhood produce distribution. Members will assist in the following: harvesting and rinsing of produce; production bed preparation; planting; irrigation; weeding; pest management; maintenance of farm equipment and irrigation systems; light construction; new garden development; farmers markets and farm stands; neighborhood produce delivery; and all other tasks related to building and maintaining a community-based urban farm. Additionally, Summer Associates will assist with door to door community outreach and promotion.
