The Boys and Girls Clubs' mission is to inspire and guide young people-especially those that need us most-to develop positive characteristics and reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens through quality out-of-school-time programming. Each day, Boys and Girls Club staff, volunteers, and interns facilitate High-Yield learning activities, give academic mentoring and homework help Club Members, and create opportunities for college readiness and workforce preparation because one of three Boys and Girls Club priority outcomes is Academic Success.

Member Duties : Member(s) will engage youth with academic mentoring, facilitating High-Yield learning activities, and creating opportunities for college readiness and workforce preparation because one of three Boys and Girls Club priority outcomes is Academic Success.Develop 3-5 pre-college activities like FAFSA nights, college tours, College Application Week, family nights, or arranging for guest speakers (campus and community leaders interviews), etc., that encourage students and families to consider, plan for, and apply for college. Administer post-tests and enter into the database to compare results. Each AmeriCorps Team Member will serve youth to develop leadership skills and civic engagement through social-emotional, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion, and nonpartisan government operations programming because one of the three Boys and Girls Club priority outcomes is Good Character and Citizenship.
