Cincinnati Zoo Unto Others Sustainability FT Member
 
 
 
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden (CZBG) and AmeriCorps have partnered to bring fun, science based educational opportunities to students in Cincinnati who need it the most and to challenge our community to step up and do more to conserve resources and wildlife. Together, CZBG and AmeriCorps will provide quality STEM education to economically disadvantaged k-12 students and to engage Zoo visitors and community members in environmentally conscious practices and behaviors. Zoo AmeriCorps members will work directly with teachers and students to improve science literacy and academic engagement and with Zoo visitors and the community outside the Zoo to share sustainable practices and encourage behavior change.

Member Duties : RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare for, instruct, and evaluate visitor engagement experiences at the Go Green Garden exhibit. • Provide high quality customer service to Zoo visitors. • Create, edit, and maintain problem-based learning challenge for schools and after-school science programming for Rockdale Academy. • Evaluate, assess, and report program goals and outcomes • Measure impact of and goals for the program year • Participate in a mid-year and end of year performance review process with supervisors • Complete bi-weekly timesheets to accurately report hours served
