PSP VISTA: The Family Place Utah
This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA position is hosted by the Public & School Partnership and are based at The Family Place Utah in Cache County, UT. The VISTA member will assist The Family Place in coordinating volunteers for The Family Place's many events and family-friendly activities, with the ultimate goals of increasing funding for The Family Place and helping disadvantaged families access services offered at The Family Place. Events and activities are held throughout the year, and the VISTA member will collaborate with The Family Place's volunteer coordinator and other advancement team personnel. This position is based at The Family Place's Smithfield office.

Member Duties : Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist the grant writer in performing functions related to securing and maintaining grant funds 2. Research and pilot new marketing/fundraising projects and/or support existing projects that increase community awareness and attract donations for The Family Place programs and services (i.e. build the organization's capacity for programs)
