MCFB Summer Associate VISTA - Feeding Texas [Conroe, TX]
 
 
 
Feeding Texas leads a unified effort for a hunger-free Texas. We assist hungry Texans through a statewide network of twenty-one food banks, lead the public discussion on hunger in Texas, and strengthen the anti-hunger movement through collaboration and capacity-building. Summer Associates support a diverse range of programs responding to critical community needs, with the goal of increasing food security, improving health, and advancing equity.

Member Duties : As one of the Summer Associates at the Montgomery County Food Bank, you will provide vital capacity to support the operations of the Programs, Development, and Volunteer Services Departments. Projects will include supporting the mobile market and school programs, assisting with the implementation and management of marketing efforts, fundraising, event planning, and donor relations, and aiding in offsite distributions to families and seniors in need within the community. We are currently recruiting for 7 positions to serve in-person at the Montgomery Country Food Bank in Conroe, TX. This work will strengthen the food banks’ capacity to provide valuable programs for the communities served.
