This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Native Plant Salvage Foundation (NPSF) is a non-profit organization working mostly in the South Salish Sea region. We are affiliated with the WSU Thurston County Water Resources & Habitat programs. We work to protect and conserve water resources and habitat via hands-on learning and service activities. We engage hundreds of volunteers every year to accomplish our goals. The member will focus on creating and delivering educational content and planning and supporting service projects. We use a two-part application process. Applicants should also complete the NPSF internal application at: https://www.nativeplantsalvage.org/americorps. Rolling interviews will begin in June. Monthly stipend amount: $1,780. Member Duties : The Service Learning and Outreach Coordinator will help Native Plant Salvage Foundation engage learners of all ages in field-based service-learning and workshops. They will recruit and retain volunteers to assist with field projects such as plant salvage and nursery care; design and complete a variety of projects including, multi-species hedgerows, stormwater retrofits, and trail maintenance; deliver field-based instruction; produce educational content, including videos, for multiple communication platforms and publications; maintain website, social/other media, records, and databases for reporting participant metrics and plant inventory.
