CTFB Summer Associate VISTA - Feeding Texas [Austin, TX]
 
 
 
Feeding Texas leads a unified effort for a hunger-free Texas. We assist hungry Texans through a statewide network of twenty-one food banks, lead the public discussion on hunger in Texas, and strengthen the anti-hunger movement through collaboration and capacity-building. Summer Associates support a diverse range of programs responding to critical community needs, with the goal of increasing food security, improving health, and advancing equity.

Member Duties : As one of the Summer Associates at the Central Texas Food Bank, you will provide vital capacity to support the operations of the Special Populations, Agency Services and Garden Departments. Projects will include assisting the food bank to modernize the way they conduct CSFP Nutrition Evaluation, supporting the development of their Partner Agency Network, and assisting the initiatives of the Learning Garden by coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating garden education for children participating in the Summer Food Service Program. We are currently recruiting for 3 positions to serve in-person at the Central Texas Food Bank in Austin, TX. This work will strengthen the food banks’ capacity to provide valuable programs for the communities served.
