San Francisco State - STEM Programming Coordinator
Are you seeking a position in which you can make an immediate impact? The Institute for Civic and Community Engagement (ICCE) at SF State University is looking for you to coordinate programming that will not only support STEM students in clarifying their career paths but create leadership and community engagement opportunities. ICCE is committed to providing high-quality and meaningful public- service, leadership development, and collaborative problem-solving opportunities for SF State students across the university. Our programs, including the STEM Counts Program, aim to make educational opportunities more accessible to students, all while making a positive impact in communities. This role is part of the CSU STEM VISTA program. As a member of this cohort, you will take part in a learning community of VISTAs across the California State University system. Our one-year program is designed to promote your growth professionally and personally as you create and enhance programs for STEM students. All projects within CSU STEM VISTA are focused on eliminating race, class, and gender disparities in STEM undergraduate graduation rates. You will be trained to utilize sustainable, asset-based approaches that engage students of color, students from low-income communities, and students who are first in their family to attend college.
