The Youth Villages AmeriCorps team transforms student apathy into student engagement using a variety of experiential approaches such as West African drumming, service-learning, gardening, outdoor kitchen sessions, vocational programming, service engagement, horsemanship, art, and other methods. Members also support local nonprofits and organizations in the community through weekly service projects driving to and from locations and willingness to provide natural disaster response throughout the state of Georgia as needed. Members are eligible for HOUSING AND MEALS, LIVING ALLOWANCE, HEALTH INSURANCE, AND OTHER BENEFITS, INCLUDING EDUCATION AWARD Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
