****THIS IS NOT THE FULL APPLICATION**** ****SEE WEBSITE WWW.CONFLUENCECENTER.ORG FOR COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS**** Join Confluence Environmental Center’s AmeriCorps program and create greater access to healthy foods, green spaces, clean waterways, outdoor experiences, energy efficient homes and transportation in the Portland, OR area! Confluence partners with community-based organizations, public schools, and government agencies to create service positions that encourage leadership development and environmental stewardship. Project partners include Portland Public Schools, Portland Community College, Cottonwood School of Science and Civics, the City of Portland, Mt Hood Community College, and the Housing Authority of Clackamas County.

Member Duties : **SEE WEBSITE WWW.CONFLUENCECENTER.ORG FOR COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS** As a Confluence AmeriCorps Volunteer, you will address critical environmental needs in low-income communities through habitat restoration, conservation, community engagement, watershed health, education, volunteer coordination, land stewardship, community gardening and more. Confluence AmeriCorps Volunteers spend 80% of their time with a community partner addressing critical environmental needs and the remaining 20% of their time with Confluence Environmental Center, participating in training and individual development. Once a month, members gather for day-long team meetings that are planned and facilitated by Confluence Volunteers. Twice a year, Volunteers participate in National Service Day events. Throughout their service, Volunteers will gain strong leadership and facilitation skills, engage in meaningful educational trainings, and gain hands-on experience addressing environmental needs in Portland, OR.
