Cal Poly Pomona - Evaluation Liasion

Cal Poly Pomona is looking for dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented individuals who are seeking to make a difference in students’ lives through project-based experiences. The most important characteristics we are looking for are a passion for helping students succeed, especially under-represented students in STEM, and an eagerness to learn. The Office of Undergraduate Research and the Projects Hatchery are part of the Office of Academic Innovation. They provide students with the training, mentoring, and funding to turn students' ideas for improving their communities into a reality. This role is part of the CSU STEM VISTA program. As a member of this cohort, you will take part in a learning community of VISTAs across the California State University system. Our one-year program is designed to promote your growth professionally and personally as you create and enhance programs for STEM students. All projects within CSU STEM VISTA are focused on eliminating race, class, and gender disparities in STEM undergraduate graduation rates. You will be trained to utilize sustainable, asset-based approaches that engage students of color, students from low-income communities, and students who are first in their families to attend college.
