6 Month UCA Project Youth+ College and Career Coach

Serving in Medford & Grants Pass, OR at College Dreams, two College and Career Readiness Coaches will work closely with Project Youth+ staff to provide a menu of college and career preparation services for youth and young adults in partnership with schools and community organizations. Goal #1 (15% of time): Identify unique patterns of participant strengths, barriers, needs, and interests, in order to develop and update personalized services for low-income middle school and high school students, as well as universal populations with high rates of low-income members. Goal #2 (60% of time): Provide a menu of direct services including (but not limited to) mentoring, developing skills, coaching, training, facilitating groups/activities, chaperoning outings/camps, tutoring, reengaging youth, supervising community service projects, and helping youth bridge key transitions. Goal #3 (10% of time): Actively participate in community partnership meetings, team meetings, training, and project related planning, as well as complete required service documentation in a timely and accurate manner. United Communities AmeriCorps (UCA) engages members in meaningful service to meet critical needs in SW Oregon. UCA projects improve access to community programs in project focus areas of Education, Economic Opportunity, Healthy Futures, and Environmental Stewardship. Members engage clients in their dedicated service project, and then use their experience to recruit, retain, and support community volunteers. Members serve full-time for 6 months, totaling 900 hours for the term of service. Our positions have benefits (education award, monthly stipend, training opportunities, etc). For more information and position descriptions, visit: www.ucamericorps.org. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis as qualified candidates are identified. Selection may be made prior to the application deadline. Early application is strongly encouraged.
