Community Liaison - Jameson Camp
 
 
 
Jameson Camp is unique as a camp within the city, nestled on over 100 acres on the Westside of Indianapolis. Jameson Camp is an award-winning, fully accredited summer camp and year-round youth service provider that offers a residential summer camp, a year-round youth leadership program, outdoor education and challenge course/team building programs. Our tagline is “Get Outside. Grow Inside.” because the children in our programs gain in self-confidence and social skills, and learn to respect themselves, others and the environment. While we welcome all children, we primarily serve low-income youth and specialize in serving youth with minor social, emotional, or behavioral challenges such as ADHD, Autism, and HIV/AIDS.

Member Duties : The Community Liaison VISTA will raise community awareness and engage community members by building relationships with a variety of community partners and resources. The Community Liaison VISTA will create and implement an outreach plan to connect new individuals, churches, schools, youth organizations, and businesses with Jameson Camps programs, facilities, and volunteer opportunities. The Community Liaison VISTA will arrange personal meetings with prospects identified in the outreach plan and work closely with Jameson staff to further build relationships with community partners. The Community Liaison VISTA will track new contacts and relationships in Jameson’s database. The Community Liaison VISTA must be enthusiastic, great at public speaking, and have passion for youth development.
