| Member Duties : YCC-Co-Lead AACounty Maryland.
The YCC co-lead will work with another AmeriCorps member to create a unique and meaningful three week experience for youth 13-17 years old. Both AmeriCorps members will assist in creation of programming, daily schedules, coordinating field trips and direct environmental conservation projects. Camp begins July 6 – July 24. AmeriCorps members are required to attend the full camp time 8:30am-3:30pm. At the completion of the program a multi media reflection will be presented to the Department.
Prior to the camp, the AmeriCorps member is required to serve 5-10 hours a week. During the pre-camp preparation, the AmeriCorps will help to recruit youth volunteers to help with monthly events, fundraisers and projects. This may include visiting schools, dropping off materials to youth organizations and online communications.
