Chisholm Trail RSVP VISTA Leader
 
 
 
Chisholm Trail RSVP serves as a VISTA Intermediary agency that works with nonprofit agencies to alleviate poverty in North Texas. The VISTA project’s goal is to expand and strengthen the capacity of our partner agencies to deliver quality services to North Texas communities. The Leader will work with multiple sites and mentor up to 28 VISTA members of various ages and experience levels. Member Duties : Applicants must have successfully completed one year of full-time national service with AmeriCorps VISTA, AmeriCorps NCCC, AmeriCorps State and National, or Peace Corps before applying to become a VISTA Leader. The AmeriCorps VISTA North Texas VISTA Leader will support and assist with the coordination of up to 28 VISTA members who are serving in nonprofit agencies in Denton, Collin, Dallas, Harris, Tarrant and Lubbock Counties. The VISTA Leader will help the members address the poverty related issues in the communities in which they are serving. The VISTA Leader will serve as a recruiter, coordinator, trainer and resource provider to enhance the project’s success and sustainability. Major duties will include: •Conduct VISTA member training and plan VISTA member service days; •Mentor VISTAs to ensure a successful service year; •Review VISTA Member monthly reports for accuracy and completeness; •Collect and analyze data from VISTA reports and surveys.
