Indy AfterSchool Corps Education Coordinator
 
 
 
Indy AfterSchool Corps members serve in afterschool programs at community based service sites in neighborhoods of high poverty. Roles and responsibilities will vary by service site. Responsibilities include providing education and career development programs to youth, ages 5 – 18 years; implementing daily activities including: tutoring, conflict resolution, health and safety, enrichment and clubs; recruitment and support of additional volunteers at sites to build organizational capacity; and spreading the AmeriCorps vision and visibility within the service site community. This position serves youth during out-of-school time hours and averages about 20 hours of service a week, mainly Monday-Friday.

Member Duties : Indy AfterSchool Corps members will provide direct support services to youth ages 5-18 in areas of high poverty in the Indianapolis community. Members develop and implement academic success and enrichment activities.
