Campus Corps Senior Leader - Montana (statewide)
 
 
 
The Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) is a non-profit network of college campuses committed to advancing the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. MTCC campuses sponsor Campus Corps AmeriCorps projects to actively engage students in meeting community-identified needs through community service and service-learning initiatives. Each year, Campus Corps places students from MTCC member institutions with community agencies, non-profit organizations, schools, and healthcare facilities to address Montana's most challenging problems. Campus Corps members serve in the fields of education, human services, public health and safety, and the environment, and are helping to improve our state while gaining skills and insights into careers in the common good. MTCC member institutions include Blackfeet Community College, Carroll College, Dawson Community College, Flathead Valley Community College, Fort Belknap College, Fort Peck Community College, Little Big Horn College, Miles Community College, Montana Tech, Montana State University, Montana State University Billings, Montana State University Northern, MSU Great Falls College of Technology, Rocky Mountain College, Salish Kootenai College, UM Helena College of Technology, The University of Montana, UM Western and the University of Great Falls.

Member Duties : The Campus Corps Senior Leader is responsible for AmeriCorps member support and ongoing program development for the entire network of MTCC campuses. The Senior Leader acts as a peer leader or "member coach" for 18 corps projects hosted annually throughout Montana and serves as a resource for the program's co-curricular and academic service-learning initiatives. Under the supervision of the Campus Corps Program Manager, the leader organizes and ensures corps-wide participation in special events and statewide projects on national service days throughout the year. S/he serves as the historian for projects and program activities throughout the year, managing the program's Facebook page, blog, e-newsletter and other social media. The leader will also design and administer trainings and workshops, pertaining to leadership, student engagement, civic reflection, and service-learning.
