Illinois Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA

Illinois Campus Compact is a coalition of colleges and universities that actively engage students, faculty and staff as active members of its community. Each VISTA project is responsive and relevant to the lives of community residents, and taps into inherent community strengths and resources to alleviate poverty. Now in our fifth year with the VISTA program, ILCC is looking for VISTAs to help member campuses improve services for student veterans and military families, first-generation college students (FGCS) and youth from low-income backgrounds. The focus of ILCC VISTA work is to create sustainable programming and partnerships across campus and in the community. Through the services developed and supported by our VISTAs, we will improve college access, retention rates and career opportunities for our targeted populations. Current positions are limited to Millikin University, Northern Illinois University, Chicago Public Schools, McKendree University, University of Illinois-Springfield, Parkland Community College, Northwestern University, Dominican University, College of Lake County, and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
