OASHF- SON Ministries
 
 
 
We partner with children and families in poverty in the Hilliard, Ohio area and connect them to resources that we direct and many others throughout our community helping them take steps out of poverty. We feed children's body, mind and soul through our nine week Hilliard Free Summer Lunch Camp at four locations. At www.HilliardHelps.org, we list all the programs in Hilliard that help families in need. During the school year we administrate Kid's Club - tutoring and homework help for children in poverty whose parents are simultaneously learning English. We also host a free legal clinic with the Columbus Bar Assoc.

Member Duties : Increase the overall capacity of SON Ministries by creating permanent infrastructure in the areas of: volunteer management, communications, fundraising and grant writing, process improvement initiatives and help lay the foundation for the path to our asset based community development initiative. Assist in the continuation of asset building by further building relationships, and strengthen the processes built in the previous year to provide for continued growth of existing programs and expansion of new programs. Fundraising and Grant Writing increasing the available funds will allow us to continue to transport children to spacious sites for summer lunch. Then our 5-10 year plans which are to have a full youth and community center where resources for families in need are centralized where adult job placement and skills opportunities are available alongside child care/tutoring and education. Increase our Community Building and Asset Based Community Development programming.
