OASHF- ReStore Community Center

ReStore Center provides resource programs through Ohio Benefit Bank, AEP Dollars for Energy program, and our Beacon Fund which provides emergency funds for specific needs. ReStore Center provides a free weekly community meal, emergency food, a thrift shop, senior and youth programming, GED tutoring, and a community garden project.

Member Duties : The goal for the VISTA member is to empower ReStore Community Center to expand its capacities to address low-income and poverty issues in Ada and the surrounding communities. During the term of service the VISTA member will be working on the following assignments: facilitate opportunities for beneficial mutual relationships between Ada entities (businesses, churches, schools, university, village, food pantry) so that parties begin to formulate positive partnerships in addressing poverty and low income issues; increase food security by the development of accompanying educational opportunities for the Village Garden and extension of available services; work with the Board of Directors and core staff to oversee the annual fundraising campaign as it gains stability.
