Community Building for Strong Neighborhoods
 
 
 
In response to high rates of vacancy in our service area, West Side Neighborhood Housing Services is using community building and organizing tools to help stabilize our target neighborhoods. As part of this program, Summer Associate VISTAs will collect data on the agencys community level outcome goals, conduct outreach to homeowners to minimize the impact of foreclosure on our community, and plan and carry out a community building project in a target neighborhood.

Member Duties : The VISTA Summer Associates will work with the full-term VISTA and staff to collect and compile data on community level outcomes, conduct outreach to minimize the impact of foreclosure on our community, and plan and carry out a community building project in a target neighborhood. They will work closely with the full-term VISTA and with relevant staff members on these projects.
