| Member Duties : RICC AmeriCorps VISTAs will perform a wide variety of service activities in support of the goals and objectives of the program. Key activities will include: * Leverage community-based organizations and their partnerships with higher education and PK12 schools * Increase awareness of and access to higher education resources * Work with college and PK12 students connecting them to their local community through volunteer recruitment, training, and leadership development * Develop and leverage resources to help colleges better connect their community * Build and implement programs, systems, and services within the field of education *The VISTA members starting in August 2012 will be serving at The Learning Community (2 positions) and Big Picture Learning with College Unbound (2 positions). *APPLICANTS MUST VISIT www.ricompact.org/become-a-vista for details and position descriptions!
