The Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks is Ohio's largest charitable response to hunger, supporting 12 member foodbanks and over 3,000 charities to fight poverty and connect low-income families to needed resources. The Ohio Benefit Bank, a program of the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks, is a statewide program with more than 1,100 sites that count on volunteer counselors to meet the demand of Ohioans in need.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps VISTA members work on indirect, capacity-building initiatives. The OBB Community Organizer will build OBB User Groups that support OBB counselors, offer mentoring opportunities for new counselors and expand the working knowledge of OBB counselors statewide. They will also recruit potential OBB sites to strengthen the network of current OBB sites to ensure a broad range of site models available in every area; including OBB Self-Serve, OBB Counselor Assisted, OBB Pro, Direct Access and OBB Access SSI/SSDI.
