The BACR After School program collaboration, established in 2004, promotes successful youth development by providing opportunities for young people to acquire new skills, share their talents, and to receive educational support These after-school programs promote the successful, holistic development of youth by providing opportunities for young people to engage in creative learning and leave a positive mark in their communities.

Member Duties : Our VISTA will work closely with the Program Director to develop a system and structure for a sustainable Volunteer Program. S/he will focus on volunteer recruitment, data management, developing partnerships with nearby colleges and non-profits, and creating the necessary materials (guidance sheets, recruitment flyers and pamphlets, etc.) to support the program. Along with recruiting and supporting volunteers at after school programs, the VISTA will help coordinate bi-annual volunteer recognitions and/or celebrations and will maintain relationships with management team, site coordinators, and partners on a daily basis. Our VISTA must have a strong work ethic and sense of humor. This position offers a VISTA a chance to shape a growing program and make it his/her own!
