Future Connect gives students the opportunity to seek better paying jobs through post high school education. It's a partnership between businesses, colleges, and communities to help students find success at the next level of college or their career. As an initiative of the Mayor's office it is a key strategy to grow the Greater Portland economy and preserve our rich quality of life.

Member Duties : Under the overall management of the AmeriCorps VISTA Lead Coordinator and the task supervision of the Program Coordinator and Site Supervisor, five members will serve for one year in Portland Parks and Recreation Community Centers. The members will act as Future Connect Strategy Coordinators, with duties including: outreach coordination, program coordination, general program development, volunteer recruitment and training, grant writing, and development of college-access classes.
