Public & School Partnership - VISTA Leader

This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA service position is based at the main office of the Public & School Partnership at Utah State University. The mission of the Public & School Partnership (PSP) is to connect community members to the education, resources, and opportunities they need to elevate themselves and their neighbors out of poverty. The VISTA Leader position is a unique position because it contributes to this goal by serving as a guide, liaison, advocate, and resource for PSP’s VISTA members, ensuring that they have a successful year of VISTA service, as measured by VISTA satisfaction, client and site satisfaction, and various performance measures and outcomes. *REQUIRED: To serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader, all applicants must have completed the equivalent of at least 1 full-time service term with: AmeriCorps VISTA (1 full service term), AmeriCorps (1700-hour service term), OR Peace Corps (1 full service term)* AmeriCorps VISTA is a National Service program. All AmeriCorps VISTA positions are full-time for one year, as mandated by the Corporation for National and Community service. Successful completion of a one-year service term qualifies all VISTA members and VISTA Leaders for one of two end of service options. VISTA Leaders can choose between an education award of $6895 or a cash stipend of $3000 (direct deposit). The pay, a living stipend, is $2107 per month for VISTA Leaders serving with PSP.
