BEDS Plus Housing Crisis Support Specialist
BEDS PLUS operates on a rotating basis in congregations from October - May from 7:30 pm - 7:00 am. The program is staffed by volunteers in shifts throughout the evening and early morning. Shelter guests are assessed and encouraged to engage in services beyond the shelter. During the summer months, when the emergency shelter is closed for the season, the outreach and engagement specialists will perform other case management duties and provide on-site support in the Support Services Program operated by BEDS PLUS. The outreach program works to establish relationships with people and connect them to necessary services to move them from living on the streets or in shelters toward stable housing.
