Michigan Nonprofit Association VISTA Leader
 
 
 
The purpose of the Civic Engagement Team of the Michigan Nonprofit Association is to further advance the goal of making Michigan a place where lifelong engagement is thriving and supported. This team is comprises of Michigan Campus Compact, the LEAGUE Michigan, and the Volunteer Centers of Michigan. The Education and Economic Opportunity for Stronger Communities AmeriCorps*VISTA program utilizes partnerships by placing members in K-12 schools, volunteer connector organizations, or higher education institutions. The AmeriCorps*VISTA Leader is responsible for the training, coordinating, resourcing, and recruiting of up to 30 VISTAs hosted at organizations across the state of Michigan. This is a unique opportunity to enhance leadership skills, gain experience in the non-profit sector and gain management experience.

Member Duties : The leader will be responsible for the overall recruitment, training, and communication of up to 30 other AmeriCorps*VISTA members at host sites. Stationed in Lansing, the Leader serves as the point person for communication among all VISTA members and will assist in planning in-service trainings and submitting quarterly progress reports to meet requirements. The Leader must be an AmeriCorps*VISTA Alum.
