CLUES is Minnesota's premier Latino behavioral health and human services agency. Our core services include: Mental Health Services, Chemical Health Services, Family Services, Aging Well Services, Community Health Worker Services, and Economic Advancement Services in education, employment, and financial literacy. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of the Latino community in Minnesota by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services to the Latino community in the Twin Cities. The growth of the immigrant and Latino population has placed a significant demand on the adult education services offered at CLUES. CLUES Education Department is dedicated to helping adult learners improve their English proficiency, access and use computer technology, and achieve self-sufficiency. Classes are offered year-round during the day and in the evening.

Member Duties : The VISTA will use their creative & organizational skills to continue to develop & expand the Children's Educational Program for the children of our adult learners. To do this, the VISTA will spend time learning about current programs within CLUES & community organizations to determine the most appropriate & effective way to grow & maintain the program so that it is linguistically appropriate & culturally proficient for the clients CLUES serves. The VISTA will be responsible for establishing and/or maintaining community partnerships, searching out grants & sustainable funding. S/he will work on building relationships with CLUES participants & their children, as well as spread the word about the program to recruit volunteers & students & their families to participate in the Children's Program. The VISTA will also develop & pilot an open computer lab that supports the learning goals of our English language learners.
