ISP Pre-ETS Systems Coordinator VISTA

Who We Are: The Independence Seekers Project (ISP) is a disability-led nonprofit based at the accessible Louisville Pride Center in Louisville, KY. ISP centers adults and transition-age youth with developmental disabilities through Disability Justice. In Jefferson County, youth with disabilities face a steep “service cliff” after high school, driving high rates of deep poverty, with incomes below $5,000 per year. Where We Are Located: Based in Old Louisville/Jefferson County, KY, serving urban and rural youth across Kentucky. Louisville offers affordable living, rich cultural amenities, and accessible public transportation. What Members Will Do: As the ISP Pre-ETS Systems Coordinator VISTA, you will build the operational, educational, and compliance infrastructure for ISP's Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program. By creating sustainable tools, workshop models, and school partnership frameworks, you enable low-income disabled youth to gain employment competencies and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Research workforce barriers to author a research-backed disability employment toolkit. Design parent and guardian educational workshop modules to navigate transition supports. Formalize partnership frameworks with Kentucky school districts and internship host sites. Skills Needed: Strong researchers, clear communicators, and organized self-starters passionate about youth empowerment and disability rights. Why Join: Gain expertise in Vocational Rehabilitation systems, curriculum design, and institutional outreach while receiving direct mentorship. Program Dates: 11/16/2026 - 11/15/2027.
